MIT Media Lab notes: The just-launched CLOVR Media gives yet another twist to the concept of bookmarkable advertising or “Card-Linked Offers”: see an online ad promoting a deal or a discount, click on the clover sign in the corner, and the information about the offer is tied to your credit card numbers. No paper coupons to cut out, organize and scan at the store — the discount is applied automatically when your card is swiped at the register.

EdoInteractive and Transactis are two companies working in this potentially very lucrative space.
